Alliance, the former 2013 International Champion, is but a shell of its former glory. From title after title with little relevance in the Western European scene; Alliance really needs an overhaul.

Alliance founder and CEO Jonathan “Loda” Berg posted a tweet expressing his displeasure with the team’s results. All this begs the question.

Can the Alliance perform well again in Dota 2?

Loda’s deleted tweet

What was it about? On the Internet, stay tuned. Even after Loda removed it, some Reddit users managed to save screenshots of it.

In-depth look In Loda’s full tweet, he says Alliance looks like a meme team, which makes sense considering Alliance is about to be removed from the Division 2 group. This is the last place in Division 2 Dota Pro Circuit 2023 (DPC 2023) WEU Tour 3, which means Alliance must participate in the next DPC season open qualifiers to have Eligible for Division 2.

Also, any expectation of qualifying for The International 12 (TI12) is beyond doubt.

Watching Alliance, a pioneering team Split-Pushing Nature’s Prophet strategy or “Rat Dota” It will break the hearts of its fans.

Alliance has gone downhill in Dota 2

Contrary to popular belief, Alliance has not been as far away from the league as most fans expected. Of course, many Alliance fans would have you believe that since their win at TI3, Alliance has slipped and never recovered.

The truth is they occasionally choose International tournaments such as TI6, TI9 and most recently TI10. They also did well at TI10, taking ninth place and $800,000 in prize money. At the time, Alliance had a solid all-star cast, including Nikolay “Nikobaby” Nikolov, Gustav “s4” Magnusson and Artsiom “Fng“. Barshak.

Fast forward to DPC 2023, s4 is still leading the league team with new players. However, the performance is sloppy at best. They struggle to get into the 1st division, and even if they make it, they will immediately come back To Tier 2.

Even so, this may be the final straw for the fans and Loda himself, who broke the camel’s back when Alliance didn’t even make it past Tier 2 for the last Tour 3 Bottom three should end with three losses.

What’s wrong with Alliance?

This discussion has everyone confused about how Alliance is doing in Dota 2 can be so scary. Considering the current league roster is a veteran roster with many big-name players in it, it’s hard to make excuses for their shortcomings.

Of course, the WEU scene isn’t always the easiest to compete in region, especially when we have As early as 2023, two WEU teams dominate two However, Alliance will have to tighten their game plan for the next DPC season now that TI12 is over.

8 Most Popular Dota Heroes of All Time

In Dota 2, you're spoiled for choice when it comes to pick options. Currently, there are more than 120 different heroes to choose from. Although Dota 2 heroes fall into broad categories and boast different abilities, roles aren't as crucial as they are in other MOBA games like League of Legends. Nonetheless, some heroes are popular with others. Below, we explore eight of the most-played heroes of all time.

8. Earthshaker

For many Dota 2 players, Earthshaker is an easy choice of hero. When you consider his devastating range of magical abilities, it's not hard to see why this fearsome entity is such a favorite with fans. His stun abilities can render enemies obsolete, while he easily counters illusions cast by rival players. Meanwhile, several of his abilities have a wide area of effect, making him incredibly valuable on the battlefield.

7. Mirana

If you like to keep your distance, a ranged hero like Mirana is a good choice. As with many other heroes in Dota 2, Mirana impresses with her versatility. The Princess of the Moon can be put to good use in many different roles, although she's particularly devastating when set upon enemies with little resistance to magical abilities. Her leap ability is useful for dodging incoming attacks, while her ultimate can be used to attack or defend.

6. Axe

Axe is always a good shout if you're taking on a jungler role. This intimidating hero does particularly well against melee enemies. Meanwhile, his high armor and speed stats make him particularly nimble. As with Earthshaker, Axe's abilities can be used to clear the battlefield, especially when unleashed during later stages of the game.

5. Legion Commander

Legion Commander certainly looks the part, but how well does perform on the battlefield? The answer is incredibly well. Legion Commander has a slate of unique abilities that can help turn the tide, even when the odds are stacked against you. Use abilities like Moment of Courage to put a serious dent in enemy HP or Press the Attack when you're in a difficult spot.

4. Invoker

Have you been following Dota 2 tournaments at 1337pro? There's a good chance you'll have seen Invoker picked a few times by the professionals. Invoker's

repertoire of magical abilities puts many other heroes to shame. In the right hands, Invoker can unleash chaos on the enemy with unforgiving combos. However, he's not the most user-friendly of heroes. If you're a relative newbie, it's worth seeking out some gameplay guides to help you master this hero. Nonetheless, Invoker remains popular with fans. In 2022, he was picked for more than 33 million different matches.

3. Juggernaut

Unlike Invoker, Juggernaut is an easy choice for first-time players. All of his base stats are impressive, meaning beginners will have little trouble putting him to work in any battle situation. In 2022, Juggernaut was picked for more than 41 million matches. However, don't write him off as a populist choice designed for rookies. With a little practice, the more experienced player can turn this deadly samurai into someone who can bring the enemy to their knees.

2. Sniper

Sniper has always stood out from the rest of the Dota 2 lineup. In 2022, this deadly swarf was picked for more than 42 million matches. Why do so many players love Sniper? His base stats are surprisingly high, making him a nimble operator who can also unleash punishing attacks from the off.

1. Pudge

With a pick rate of of 33.54%, Dota 2's Pudge is the most popular hero by a comfortable margin. In 2022, Pudge was picked for more than 55 million matches. Pudge's hooks allow you to drag enemies in for the attack. Alternatively, this same ability can be used to pull your allies out of the line of the fire. While low-level players can have plenty of fun with Pudge, a more experienced gamer can use him to clear the field in no time at all.

Why is Dota 2 one of the best games to make money?

Dota 2 is one of the world's leading MOBA titles, with millions of players playing and watching matches daily. The esport is most known for its complexity, making the game extremely interesting and allowing an incredibly high skill ceiling. The high skill ceiling ensures that professional players are the best of the best, making Dota 2 professional matches very intriguing to watch. Though most people treat Dota 2 as your average competitive game, there are multiple methods on how players can make money through this game. Let's dig into the different ways how you can make money with Dota 2!

Absurd Tournament Prize Pools

Most of the esports community, whether Dota players or not, agree that Dota 2 is the most challenging game to go pro in, considering the game's difficulty. The hardship that professional Dota 2 players go through to reach that level is appreciated by the community, which is why Dota 2 tournaments have unbelievable prize pools up for these players to grab.

Dota 2's annual tournament, The International, Ti for short, is a celebration where players can enjoy watching the best of the best compete against each other on a big stage. With the help of crowdfunding, The International always provides record-breaking prize pools every year. No other esports tournament comes close, as the previous The International 10 broke through $40,000,000 in prize pools!

The unfathomable amount of cash these tournaments have makes Dota 2 the highest-paying esports – and it's not even close. Winning a Ti will automatically make you a millionaire from winning a single tournament. Major tournaments happen three to four times a year, with million-dollar prize pools as well. Most successful Dota players can become millionaires from prize pools alone, even without having to win Ti. These numbers don't account for the monthly salaries that organizations pay their players either!

Dota 2 Betting

We understand that not everyone has the talent, time, or dedication to climb up the ranks and become a professional player. Still, regular Dota 2 players can also make money through different methods. A popular way that is used by hundreds of thousands of Dota players is through Dota 2 bets. Since bettors are risking real money through this method, it would be wise for bettors to check out a full Dota 2 betting FAQ on Tips.GG before they get started. If you're looking to get into betting Dota 2 matches, here are some quick tips that we can provide:

Understanding the Teams

Like any other esport or traditional sport, some teams are better than others. Specific teams can fall off, and others can rise to the top quickly. The fierce competition makes it very important for bettors to follow the professional Dota 2 scene actively and check match results and statistics daily or weekly.

Once players who bet on Dota 2 are familiar, and up to date with the best teams in the world, they will make better decisions on which team is favored to win over the other. Though the capabilities of each team can be shown through odds on Dota 2 betting sites, bettors should still do careful research on how the teams are doing.

Use Live Odds to See Draft

Dota 2 involves ten heroes, in teams of two, going against each other head to head. Both teams will go through the drafting phase in every professional game, where heroes will get picked and banned. The drafting phase is a vital part of the game, as heroes can counter other heroes. Most professional players agree that games can already be decided through the outcome of the draft.

With the importance of the drafting phase in mind, players who have a good understanding of heroes and matchups can wait for the draft to end before placing their Dota 2 bets. To be able to understand drafts, players will need to play a lot of Dota to understand hero matchups. They will also need to watch many professional matches to see which heroes are currently strong in the meta. "Cheese picks" also tend to occur in professional games, so it could be an excellent option to bet on the team with the cheese pick for a higher chance of winning your bet.

Boosting or Coaching Dota 2 Players

Though Dota 2 betting is an attractive option for making money, not everyone is willing to risk their money. If you're not looking to gamble, don't worry, as boosting and coaching less experienced players is always an available option.

Boosting Players

High-ranked Dota 2 players who don't have the commitment and time to go professional often turn to boosting as a side hustle. The process of boosting can be defined as when a highly skilled player plays on a lower-skilled player's account and quickly stomps matches to rank the account up. Though boosting is considered unethical, it is still a way for Dota 2 players to make money.

Coaching Players

Not everyone that plays Dota 2 is already a highly skilled player. Most players who are starting or looking to improve require guidance and suggestions to get better at the game. These players often seek more experienced players to point out mistakes and possible improvements.

Coaching is an excellent, ethical method for skilled players to make money, as in-game coaching is getting increasingly popular every day.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Dota 2 is a good game for players to make money. However, just like any other regular job, a player with more experience and skill can make more money compared to the average Dota player. High-skilled players will have a better chance of making it to the professional scene, read the drafting phase correctly, and have the required capabilities to boost or coach lower-ranked players.

Elephant Shuts Down Dota 2 Division

Elephant, the Dota roster formed just a year ago, will no longer compete as a team.

All the players have been released following a season of below-par performances from the squad that was expected to make waves within the Dota 2 eSports world.

The players who came together intending to be the best team in the world caused quite a stir when they left their former teams to form China's new 'super squad' in 2020. Following lengthy discussions and significant contractual agreements being completed, the new-look roster came together last October. Still, they've since struggled to meet the promise that many predicted on the world stage.

In local events, Elephant did show signs that better things were to come raising hopes of fans across China, but as soon as they headed into the regional competition, they found their opponents a little too much of a test. They failed to get out of their locality during the 2021 Dota Pro Circuit, only finishing fifth in each regional league, which meant they didn't qualify for either of the majors.

The beginning of the end

However, there was a glimmer of hope when they headed into The International 10 via their performance in the regional qualifier, but when it mattered, their performance was lackluster. Elephant finished in 13th place, barely even making it to the main stage competition. It was a disappointing showing in the eagerly anticipated tenth iteration of The International tournament, which was huge for Dota 2 and eSports in general. The 2020 competition was canceled due to the pandemic, so it had brought a real heightened sense of excitement from fans to see the competition come back in 2021. That was evident as The eSports Observer noted that the final of the event was the most viewed Dota 2 event in history. The prize money on offer was also significant, with a Bwin Sports piece on eSports suggesting prize money for The International topped $40m in 2021. But whilst the attraction of the money on offer is a massive lure for gamers, it doesn't mean the big bucks head the way of even the most prominent players, and every so often a team falls by the wayside, wanting, and this was certainly the case for Elephant this year.

The International is a tournament that every Chinese team strives for victory in, proven by the number of teams from the Far East that have featured in the final fight for the title each year. It seems that Elephant's loss was the last straw. Despite lengthy discussions with the players, almost everyone is now a free agent, allowing them all to find new teams to represent in the upcoming 2022 edition of the Dota Pro Circuit.

What's next for Elephant?

There are no plans from the organization that put the team together to re-enter the competitive world of Dota 2 gaming, as they put out the following statement via social media on Weibo. "In the past year, we did our best to and provided as much financial support as possible, but as a team that basically relies on the love of its fans, the gap between ideals and reality led the company to finally decide to disband the team. Sorry to disappoint everyone."

It remains to be seen which teams such as Eurus, Somnus, Yang, and fy will join ahead of the Dota Pro Circuit, but it will be interesting to see if they can reproduce their form, which originally brought them together to try and unify their talents following TI9 in 2019.

Dota 2 global tournament all you need to know

From its humble origins as a mod for the popular game warcraft 3 to the behemoth of the MOBA genre Dota reshaped the history of Esports and online gaming. Now just days away from the biggest MOBA tournament ever it is interesting to check what is all that hype about, how it came to be, who is competing in it and most importantly what is all the craze with not only supporting but betting on the different teams, gaining he attention of mainstream media and pretty much all the sports betting outlets.

Where did it all start

After several small “test” tournaments starting after the lawsuit loss of Blizzard against Valve for the rights over the game, the Dota 2 gaming franchise saw potential to win big. So, in 2011 (time flies when you are having fun) at Gamescom, Valve did the first planned High value tournament event with a prize pool of 250000 dollars, inviting 18 teams to compete. The teams were chosen from the then called Dota Pro Cirquit, which was a mimicked the way the competing MOBA League of Legends organized its very own first tournament held the same year.

While the viewing was not as large as many hoped, it taught Valve an extremely valuable lesson. If you want to be like greatest, you must become the greatest yourself. And the big dogs in sports have one thing in common – huge prize pool and cutthroat competition. So the Dota team took a que from non-other than Formula 1 and reshaped their qualification structure, team branding and roosters, even meta-rebalance patches and forced started to behave entertainment sport from the racing tracks, all in order to create hype and media outreach. Year after year, the prize pool grew larger, first surpassing 1 million, later 10, to the point where we are now – the mindboggling 40 MILLION dollars. That staggering figure and the prize pools of the last few years, elevated Dota 2 to the greatest in sports, namely Tennis, Formula 1 and some even say it’s the digital equivalent of the Football’s Champions League.

So what is going on in Dota 2 Internationals 2021

First, it needs to be said that the tournament was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID Pandemic. This left the fans, teams and the Esports in general wanting. Thus the stakes are exceptionally high this year. The qualification round points according to the official Dota website are 2700 points earned from Major Tournaments and 1150 points from the Regional Leagues. To earn points the teams had to place in the Top 8 in the Majors and top 6 in the Upper Division of the Regional Leagues.

This created an almost yearlong cycle of tournament plays where every win was important. In the end Only the top 2 teams from each Region qualified in the final top 12 that will duke it out in Bucharest in a few days. The group stages will start at 07.10.2021 and the Main Event will begin on 12.10.2021.

Teams, top players and standings

The teams that managed to secure a spot in this year’s International event are as follows :

1           Evil Geniuses     1,700 points

2    PSG.LGD    1,300 points

3    Virtus Pro    1,200 points

4    Quincy Crew    1,100 points

5    Invictus        1,100 points

6    T1 Gaming    1,070 points

7    Vici Gaming    950 points

8    Team Secret    950 points

9    Team Aster    800 points

10    Alliance        800 points

11    beastcoast    800 points

12    Thunder Predator    800 points

The big outlier here is Virtus Pro, who are seeded as the third best team despite mediocre results in their Major Leagues performance. The reason for this is that they are the only team who won both regional league seasons.

In addition there are qualifiers where the region winners have one last shot at the Trophy. These are:

Region    Winner

Europe    OG

China    Elephant

CIS    Team Spirit

SEA    Fnatic

North America    Undying

South America    SG e-sports

Now here is the rub. All these teams were considered top contenders yet barely managed to get a chance at the finals. OG are the defending champsions and Elephant created a Super star team after acquiring pretty much the best players China could offer. Fnatic and Team Spirit are always teams to be reckoned with and offered a good show during the Majors. Yet despite all the lavish praise these 6 teams get they barely managed to secure one last chance prior to the main event.

Some renown teams who were expected to qualify but did not make the mark are:

  • Team Liquid – You may know them from other Esports games like CS:GO and Starctraft. They were always seen as the heavy hitters in the Europe region, but rooster drama, frequent change of playstyle among team members and poor performance against other “easy” teams led to their downfall this year.
  • Tundra Esports – they started strong and took wins from pretty much all European top teams including the above-mentioned Team Liquid. Sadly, fell short in the end as team OG bested them in a nail-biting 2-3 score in a 5-game match.
  • Team Nigma – anyone following the scene knows that these guys were considered top contenders among the fans. Ultimately, they failed short of delivering consistent high performance and never realized their potential.
  • EHOME – The OGs of the Chinese Dota 2 scene, this team showed promise in paper, boasting big names such as Yap Jian “xNova” Wei, who is seen as one of the top support players in China. However, they got crushed in the in the closed qualifiers in China.
  • TNC Predator – just like in other mainstream sports, there are teams with celebrity status players, that just can’t work together. This broke the team and after the ensuing drama they failed to secure a spot in the SEA region.

Rooster Drama

Just like in most mainstream sports Dota 2 is not truly a global Esport without plenty of player and team drama. The big shakeup began in China where Team Elephant managed to “ruin” other big team names like Vici Gaming and LGD.PSG by managing to “steal” their top players Eures, Yang and Somnus as well as the legendary status team captain Fy. They also recruited the “most wanted” new star in the scene Redpanda and formed a superstar team worthy of envy. Despite all that their start at the pro scene was not great. They lost some games and had a no-show at two Majors. Despite all that the team managed to pull through and scraped just enough points and wins to be in the final qualifiers.

On the other side of the continent Team Liquid had its own flavour of rooster drama. One of the best talents in the Dota Scene and stand in in Team Liquid SamuaiL did not manage to showcase his skill and got booted from the team during the summer, despite the rest of the team falling short themselves. Boxi another Team Liquid member who took time off the game to be close to his family returned as a substitute but that did not help the team much. They failed to deliver in the regional qualifiers and were ultimately killed of by team Tundra.

Fnatic is another example of player drama. Their disappointing performance during TI 9 led to change in their roster with Marc Polo Luis “Raven” Fausto joining the safe lane carry benching Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon and Kam “Moon” Boon Seng joining the team to replace Abed Azel L. Yusop in the mid lane. Finally Natthaphon “Masaros” Ouanphakdee replaced Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang in the offlane slot. All that shakeup did wanders for their Season one performance where they crushed the opposition. However the victory was short-lived and the team began loosing momentum in the Singapore Major where they struggled against the top teams and were ultimately booted from the event, hoping to secure a placement through the final qualifications.

Big names peak big money

Speaking about all these star players, begs the question about their earnings. Well Dota 2 is a multimillion Esport. Some players became millionaires in the span of an year. More than that, from the top 30 Esports players 29 are playing Dota 2! The biggest earnings in the game belong to Johan “N0tail” Sundsetin playing for the team OG. He pocketed the whooping 6.98 million dollars through his Dota 2 career! At the bottom of the top 30 list is Chu “Shadow” Zeyu who is not in the roster of any team currently, as the competition and everchanging balance of the game demands fresh blood as well as strategical thinking from the teams.

Speaking about teams the top teams by revenue are:

1.    Team Liquid    $37,605,927.52

2.    OG    $34,610,723.59

3.    Evil Geniuses    $24,676,338.49

4.    Fnatic    $16,396,446.33

5.    Virtus.pro    $16,113,141.26

Though most of these teams have tournaments outside of the Dota 2 scene, most of their revenue comes mainly from this Esport. The overall earnings are big enough to attract the attention of mainstream media and last but not least attract the attention of the biggest sports betting companies in the world.

The rise of Esports

According to Statista the expected net worth of the Esports sector is just over 1.08 billion dollars. Not counting for merchandise and sportswear this figure is very close to the big league sports like tennis and basketball. That being said the huge fanbase the Esports scene boasts is an untapped source for advertising and product placement. What is more it is one of the few social groups yet to be introduced to the sports betting world.

In the last 10 years the online sports betting world has skyrocketed from 200 million to 14 billion in 2020. That figure is expected to reach 200 billion by the end of 2027 mainly boosted by the Esports scene. This is a huge opportunity for both “expert fans” betting on the various events and a venue where a lot of big advertisers , betting companies and luxury brands want to place themselves and take mindshare off of the “zoomer” generation. Already we can see that the top 100 betting companies in the world all have bonus packages as well as various perks for people willing to bet money with them. That will guarantee that huge sponsorships, promotion of more and even bigger events and puts pressure on competitive games like Dota 2 to exceed expectations, especially after 2020 where almost all traditional sports events were canceled due to the COVID outbreak.

All in all, its exciting times for the fans of Esports.

OG.Seed disband following ownership conflicts

OG.Seed, the secondary Dota2 team of two-time back-to-back The International champions OG, have pulled the plug on their Dota2 project following multi-team ownership conflicts.

As unveiled in the announcement, the OG.Seed project was launched with intentions to "mentor another Dota team, share the knowledge that we [OG] have accumulated throughout all these years of competition, and help them build a solid foundation by providing them with the necessary tools to help them improve," however due to The International 10 postponement amid COVID-19 concerns, the uncertainty of Dota2 competitive calendar and the transition to regional tournaments, managing two teams became a problem.

The biggest issue OG were facing with was the conflict of interest that could have and had arisen by having two rosters competing in the same tournament.

Many tournament organisers don't allow multiple rosters from the same esports organisation to compete in the same competition, meaning that OG.Seed would be forced to attend mostly tier-two and tier-three tournaments. That, however, was a big issue, since OG.Seed's ambitions for their roster were much higher than that.

While OG stated that they "worked with other teams and tournament organizers to try to find a solution," they eventually came to the conclusion that it may be too soon to try and properly implement multi-team ownership into their organisation.

OG and OG.Seed were seen competing in the same tournament in May and April at WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1, where they got seeded into the same group and played one match. The same tournament also featured Virtus.pro and their academy team VP.Prodigy, who were as well seeded into the same group since WePlay! did not implement any rules that would prevent esports organisations to enter with two teams.

The news of OG.Seed's disbandment surfaced this Tuesday on OG's official website, however, as stated by the European esports organisation, this decision was made a month ago.

"When we learned that OG Seed would not be able to compete in the same tournaments as OG, we sat down with them and mutually decided that we would give OG Seed a 30-days notice before releasing them (1st July 2020), and use this month to help them find a great new home," read the announcement.

"All of us at OG would like to thank them for all their great work, commitment and friendship. We are extremely proud to see how they’ve evolved and how much progress they’ve made."

OG.Seed was formed barely six months ago, on November 27, when the team announced Omar Mohammad "Madara" Dabachach, Rasmus Johan "Chessie" Blomdin, Zakari William Lee "Zfreek" Freedman, Andreas Per "Xibbe" Ragnemalm and Petu "Peksu" Vaatainen as the inaugural members of OG's secondary Dota2 team.

Although the newly established roster did not feature any big names, OG.Seed have achieved a couple of impressive accolades in their rather short existence. In November, OG.Seed made it to the final round of DreamLeague Season 13 Europe Open Qualifier, finished second at DOTA Summit 12 and Cyber.bet Cup: Spring Series – EU, and most recently claimed a bronze medal at OMG Cup 3.

While they failed to claim any silverware, OG.Seed managed to produce a few notable individual performances, which saw them take down some of the strongest Dota2 teams in the world, including Evil Genuises, Team Liquid and OG themselves.

It remains to be seen what will happen with OG.Seed's roster, however, as revealed by OG, they are actively working on finding them a new home. Nevertheless, OG.Seed have shown a lot of promise throughout the last six months which suggests Peksu and co. won't have a hard time finding a new banner to fight under.

Gpk will stand-in for Team Spirit Dota2 team

Danil "Gpk" Skutin will replace Yegor "Ergon" Kozlov at Spirit for the upcoming WePlay! Pushka League and Epic Prime League games as a stand-in player, the Russian Dota2 team has announced.

Gpk has joined Anton “DyrachYO” Shkredov, Vasily “AfterLife” Shishkin, Alexander “Immersion” Hmelevskoy and Mihail “Misha” Agatov in their journey through WePlay! Pushka League and Epic Prime League as unveiled by the Russian Dota2 team. He will replace Ergon, who is reportedly having health problems, however, Spirit did not specify what kind of health issues their No.2 is dealing with.

"Unfortunately, due to health problems, Yegor 'Ergon' Kozlov will not be able to participate in the upcoming matches of our Dota squad," read the announcement.

"Danil 'Gpk' Skutin will play for us as a stand-in in the upcoming WePlay Pushka League and Epic Prime League games."

With that, Gpk became the third Gambit player to stand-in for one of the teams at WePlay! Pushka League, besides Gambit's captain Artsiom “fng” Barshak who teamed up with Alliance and Maxim “Shachlo” Abramovskikh who is standing in for Cyber Legacy.

Gambit were initially planned to participate at the event but withdrew from the event, citing their inability to properly prepare for the event due to lack of an ideal bootcamp set-up as the main reason for their resignation. Most recently, Gambit participated at ESL One Los Angeles Online tournament, where they placed bottom-four, which as stated by the team was a result of their players playing from home, instead of from a team-owned facility.

Due to Gambit’s refusal to participate at the event, their players started to look for other options to take part at the tournament, and since many teams struggled with fielding a full team due to COVID-19 pandemic, that left many players stranded in their home countries, they were quick to find a team to play with.

Gambit's captain fng has been playing with Alliance since the tournament began, helping the Swedish esports organisation secure a playoffs berth with an admirable 4-1 record, whereas his teammate, Shachlo has been picked up by Cyber Legacy at the start of May as a replacement for Oleg "LastHero" Demidovich. Cyber Legacy have previously fielded gpk in their fixture against Empire Hope, where the Russian No.2 helped CL secure a reverse-sweep and a direct bye into the semi-finals.

With Pushka League entering its final days of the group stage matches, gpk will help Team Spirit in their final two fixtures against HellRaisers and Virtus.pro, where Spirit will be chasing the final ticket leading into the playoffs. As it stands now, Spirit are holding onto a 1-3 record, which sits them one win behind FlyToMoon and Virtus.pro, effectively meaning their chances of making it into the second stage of the tournament very slim. If Team Spirit fail to finish top-four in their group, they could be facing elimination from the tournament and relegation into the second division of Pushka League.

Team Spirit Dota2 roster is now:

Anton “DyrachYO” Shkredov

Danil “gpk” Skutin

Vasily “AfterLife” Shishkin

Alexander “Immersion” Hmelevskoy

Mihail “Misha” Agatov

Massive talent changes in Dota2 7.26c update

The 7.26c update for Dota2 went live this Saturday, and with it, we got introduced to plenty of changes to the Hero Talents, some of which got completely reworked, with almost all of them receiving significant nerfs.

The update also introduced a few changes to various Hero abilities and two items in Royal Jelly and Illusionist's Cape, however, the main changes 7.26c update focused on was on reworking talents, some of which got completely changed, by either having their star or attribute nerfed or buffed.

Although there have been changes to 80 Heroes, there were a few who were significantly buffed or nerfed, some of which being Mars, Outworld Devourer, Leshrac, Juggernaut, Clinkz and Slark, Templar Assassin, Terrorblade and Treant Protector. Out of all changes, it seems like Clinkz was the biggest winner, who received nothing but buffs to all of his talents options, even though his Searing Arrow got its damage reduced slightly, which will mostly hurt his early game. Other Heroes that have been significantly tweaked include Slark, who got a slight buff despite already being a popular pick, Templar Assassin, who got some of his talents completely changes, as well as Treant Protector, who looks like he would become a very strong pick due to his three Talent buffs.

The WePlay! Pushka League, which is currently running will continue using the older version of the game, however, once the players change to the 7.26c, we might be looking at some huge swings in the hero usage.

The 7.26c Dota2 update introduced a lot of Hero Talent changes with some of the heroes that got hit by the update the most being Mars, Outworld Devourer, Leshrac, Juggernaut, Clinkz and Slark, Templar Assassin, Terrorblade and Treant Protector.

Wish- and Ceb will stand in for OG at WePlay! Pushka League

OG have announced Irakli “W1sh-” Peranidze and Sébastien "Ceb" Debs will stand in for their Dota2 squad at the WePlay! Pushka League, due to Topias "Topson" Taavitsainen's and Yeik "MidOne" Nai Zheng's inability to participate at the tournament.

WePlay! Pushka League will mark yet another Dota2 tournament, where OG will be unable to field its complete roster, following the ESL One Los Angeles 2020 – Online: Europe & CIS and WeSave! Charity Play. It seems like things are just not going their way ever since OG rebuilt their roster with the signing of MidOne, Martin "Saksa" Sazdov and Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan as replacements for Anathan "ana" Pham, who took a break from competitive play, Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka, who retired and Ceb, who decided to step down from the roster and instead focus on helping the team from behind the scene.

Due to the current situation, which prevents Topso and MidOne from competing with the team, however, Ceb will have to put on his old jersey once more and step into the arena to compete under OG's banner.

Unlike Ceb, who has spent the last four years of his career at OG, this will be the first time W1sh- will get to represent a team of such calibre. The 22-year old Georgian No.2 has begun his Dota2 career in 2016 with some lesser teams and it was not until August 2018, when he joined his first proper esports organisation, Unchained Esports. W1sh-spent the next six months with the team, until the team disbanded and released its entire roster. W1sh-, however, did not need long to find a new team and in July 2019 joined Wind and Rain, where he remained since.

With Wind and Rain, W1sh- saw a reasonable amount of success in some lesser tournaments, including third place at joinDOTA League Season 16 Europe, fourth at FaceCheck by GG.BET, third at OMG Cup, top-eight at ESL One Hamburg 2019 and third at GGBET Championship. Since the turn of the year, W1sh- played as a stand-in for Godsent, and helped his team finish top-eight at Arena of Blood.

With OG's decision to bring in the young Dota2 pro, it seems like they're going for a more direct approach to the game, which is a complete contrast to how they approached ESL One Los Angeles Online, where they had Neta "33" Shapira as a stand-in for Topson. It's unknown why 33 did not return to help OG compete at WePlay! Pushka League, nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how the Georgian mid laner can perform under such a prominent team.

Although W1sh- never before played with any of the members of OG, he had plenty of time to practise with his new squad, considering OG's first match at WePlay! Pushka League is played on Tuesday, April 28, when they face off against Alliance.

After Alliance, OG are set to face Team Secret, Team Liquid, their academy team OG.Seed, Team Nigma and Ninjas in Pyjamas, which is not the easiest schedule and it will prove to be a true test of skill for the new-look squad of the two-time back-to-back The International champions.
